Wolves agree deal to sign winger Chiquinho from Estoril for £2.9m

  • 21-year-old Sporting graduate to sign deal until 2026
  • Left winger made his Portugal debut at end of last year

Wolves have agreed a deal to sign the winger Chiquinho from Estoril for an initial fee of £2.9m. The Premier League side beat off competition from Benfica among others for the 21-year-old, who made his Portugal Under-21 debut in November last year.

The Wolves manager, Bruno Lage, sees the former Sporting youth academy player as one for the future but with the potential to have an impact this season already. A contract until 2026 has been agreed with an option for a further year. With add-ons the deal could reach £4.2m.
